Thieves targeted a pensioner’s home in Gillingham, stealing valuable jewellery during a burglary that took place between 1pm and 5pm on Wednesday 18 August 2021. The incident occurred at a property on Broadview Avenue.

The victim, a woman in her 80s, returned home to find her house ransacked and precious jewellery missing. Police believe the intruder conducted a frantic search before fleeing the scene.

Investigators are seeking to speak with a man seen near the crime scene. He is described as white and wearing a red and black lumberjack shirt. Authorities believe he could be a key witness or suspect in the case.

Officers are also interested in contacting the occupants of a blue Volkswagen Golf that was parked on Broadview Avenue around the time of the burglary.

Kent Police are urging anyone who witnessed suspicious activity, or who has dashcam footage or CCTV that could assist the investigation, to come forward. Witnesses can call 01634 792209 quoting reference 46/151273/21.
