Kent Police are searching for witnesses following a tragic fatal collision on the A21 near Pembury on Saturday evening, 16 November 2024. A man in his 40s lost his life after being struck by two vehicles in a serious incident that occurred shortly after 6pm on the coastbound carriageway.
The victim was driving a white Isuzu pickup truck towing a trailer when he reportedly hit the central reservation. After exiting his vehicle, he was then hit by a grey Vauxhall Vivaro and a grey Skoda Kodiaq. Despite urgent medical efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed of the tragedy.
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) is leading the investigation and is urgently seeking anyone who witnessed the initial crash or events leading up to it. They are also requesting any dashcam footage captured on the A21 near Pembury around the time of the incident.

The crash caused the A21 near Pembury to be closed for several hours, resulting in significant delays and forcing drivers to use alternative routes. Kent Police have expressed their condolences to the victim’s family and community and have pledged to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding this fatal collision.
