An elderly pedestrian in his 80s is fighting for his life after a serious collision on Leybourne Way, Larkfield. The crash occurred near Gighill Road at approximately 8.15am on 21 December 2025.
The incident involved a white Volkswagen van. The driver of the van stopped at the scene, and emergency services promptly attended to the injured man, who was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.
Kent’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) has launched a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Road closures remain in place around the junction as the investigation continues. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible.
