East London’s Dagenham is on edge as a flasher dubbed the “Willy Man” continues to shock residents with disturbing behaviour. The man has been caught on doorbell cameras exposing himself and pushing his penis through letterboxes, causing genuine fear among local women.
A disturbing video recorded on Maxey Road just before 6 a.m. on February 17 shows the man wearing a face mask and a top but nothing below the waist, exposing himself on a doorstep. He fled quickly when a car passed by. Multiple clips of his actions have been shared by angry locals on social media.
One victim said, “It’s terrifying, and knowing this is happening has made my family feel unsafe. There have been other reports of this person doing the same thing, indicating this has been going on for some time. He must be caught.”
The flasher appears to be growing bolder. A woman described how he stood naked from the waist down in front of her door for 10 seconds, flashing himself. Another resident warned that the man also stuffs objects through letterboxes. “It’s been reported many times but he’s still free,” she said. “If you have evidence, report it now. We need to stop him fast.”
Eyewitnesses have spotted the man in various locations across Dagenham, including Becontree and Hedgemans Road. He consistently hides his face but openly exposes himself.
Residents are outraged and some have even threatened to defend themselves with bleach, razor blades, or worse. One local stated, “He’s targeting people with Ring doorbells on purpose. This disgusting behaviour must end.”
The Metropolitan Police have been investigating a series of similar incidents since January involving a man in dark clothing and a crash helmet exposing himself through letterboxes in nearby streets. It is not yet confirmed if these cases are linked.
Detective Constable Sky Mulvey said, “These incidents were very distressing for the victims. We want any CCTV or doorbell footage to help identify this man. Please come forward.”
