Life-Threatening Injuries After Dramatic Crash

The SsangYong Rexton driver smashed into a minibus taxi near Whitehall Garden Centre just before 9:30am on 21 October. Both the driver and a female passenger in her 40s suffered life-threatening injuries and were rushed to hospital. The driver remains in a medically-induced coma.

Emergency crews including Great Western Air Ambulance Charity and Wiltshire Police swarmed the scene. A full police investigation is now underway.

Heart Attack Blamed for Horror Smash

An insider revealed the woman suffered a heart attack while driving, causing her to lose control and crash into the minibus. This puts paid to social media rumours claiming she was reckless. “She suffered a heart attack while driving, which led to the crash, not a dangerous manoeuvre,” the source said.

Police Hunt Witnesses and Dashcam Footage

Wiltshire Police are appealing to anyone who saw the crash or has dashcam footage to get in touch. Call 01225 694597 quoting log number 53 or email the officers. Road closures remain as the investigation continues.
