A man in his 20s was arrested last week following a major police raid on a property located on London Road, Calne. Officers uncovered a significant quantity of Class A and B drugs during the operation.
On Friday, June 28, police executed a warrant at the residence and discovered suspected drugs inside the home. The suspect was taken into custody on charges including alleged supply of Class A drugs, possession of Class B drugs, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place.
Alongside the drugs, police also seized valuable items such as designer trainers and bicycles. These items were confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act, as they were believed to be linked to criminal activity.
The man has since been released on bail while detectives continue their investigation. Wiltshire Police have urged local residents to assist by reporting any information related to drug activity in the area.
“Our officers are committed to tackling drug-related crime and protecting our communities,” said a Wiltshire Police spokesperson. “The seizure of these items and the arrest demonstrate our ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal activity.”
Residents are encouraged to report any concerns by calling 101 as the investigation progresses.
