A bus crashed into a tree on Hedgemans Road in Dagenham at approximately 10am on Wednesday, 20 November. Emergency services responded quickly to the scene following the collision.
Two women sustained injuries in the crash and were treated by police and the London Ambulance Service. Both were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police confirmed that the injuries are neither life-threatening nor life-changing.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the crash. At this stage, no information has been released regarding what led to the bus colliding with the tree.
The crash resulted in Hedgemans Road being partially blocked. Drivers in the area have been advised to remain cautious while the investigation is ongoing.
Police have requested that any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage come forward to assist with enquiries.
