Greater Manchester Police are actively searching for a violent attacker who broke into a home in Failsworth on July 20th, armed with an axe and demanding money.
The frightening incident occurred at approximately 5.45pm when the resident opened their front door. Suddenly, a man approached from behind, forced his way inside, and pinned the occupant down.
Holding an axe, the intruder threatened the victim and demanded cash, causing significant distress. While the attacker ransacked the property, the victim was able to avoid serious injury.
After searching through personal belongings, the assailant fled the scene, leaving police to investigate the crime.
Greater Manchester Police have released an image of the suspect and are urging anyone who recognises him or has any information to contact them immediately.
Witnesses can call GMP on 101 or 0161 856 9097, quoting log 2911 of 20/07/23. Alternatively, information can be reported anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Police emphasise the critical role of public assistance in apprehending this dangerous individual and ensuring justice is served.
