Kent Police, backed by armed officers and the Kent, Sussex, and Surrey air ambulance, were scrambled to a property on Upper Street in Leeds village, just outside Maidstone. The emergency call came in at around 9.40pm on Sunday.
Two ambulances, including one escorted by police, raced several patients to hospital. Neighbours were left shaken as Upper Street turned into a flood of flashing blue lights and emergency sirens.
One local, who wished to remain anonymous, told us: “I heard a woman screaming out in pain, and she wouldn’t stop. It was terrifying.”
The air ambulance landed in a field behind the property. The neighbour initially feared a serious road collision.
Police have kept details tight, only confirming the situation is a “serious incident.” Officers continue to guard the scene late into the night. It’s still not clear if anyone has been arrested.
Both ambulances sped off under blue lights, one escorted by police. Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service have been contacted for further updates.
