Masked thugs launched a violent break-in at a Lichfield business just before 10:30pm on Monday, November 2. Police were called to reports of an ongoing break-in on Lichfield Street, where a gang of men armed with weapons smashed windows and doors in a brazen attempt to gain entry.
The armed group fled the scene in a white van, leaving behind shattered glass and significant damage. Authorities have linked this raid to two other attacks across town.
Detective Sergeant Kiley Rounds from Force CID South stated, “We believe this smash-and-grab is linked to two other attacks, including a restaurant on Church Street where windows were also smashed.” She urged anyone with information or footage to come forward to assist the investigation.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incidents: a 52-year-old from Tamworth and a 38-year-old from Birmingham. Both remain in custody and are being questioned over all three break-ins as police continue to crack the case.
