Two Men Arrested After Fatal Stabbing in Southgate
Detective Chief Inspector Neil Rawlinson, leading the probe, confirmed: “Two men have been arrested following a stabbing on Queen Elizabeth’s Drive, N14, last Sunday. One remains in police custody.”
The victim, a 37-year-old man, was rushed to hospital but tragically died the same afternoon. “His family are being supported by specialist officers,” said Rawlinson. “I offer my sincere condolences to them.”
Police Boost Patrols Amid Community Concern
Detective Chief Superintendent Caroline Haines, overseeing Enfield and Haringey policing, said: “This shocking incident has understandably raised alarm in the community. We share these concerns and are working swiftly with partner agencies to find out exactly what happened and who is responsible.”
She added, “You’ll see extra police patrols in the Southgate area. If you have information or worries, speak to our officers. They are here to support you.”

- Emergency services were called at 14:04 on Sunday, 4 February.
- Two men, aged 21 and 30, were arrested that afternoon.
- The 21-year-old was caught in a car stopped by Met officers in Hertfordshire and remains in custody.
- The 30-year-old has been released without further action.
