A woman’s body was discovered at a flat in Woolwich, prompting a police investigation. Emergency services responded to St Domingo House on Leda Road, SE18, shortly after midday on Tuesday, November 19. They were called due to concerns for an individual’s safety at the address.
Upon arrival, officers found the woman’s body. A 49-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident but has since been released on bail as inquiries continue. The cause of death is currently under investigation.
The Metropolitan Police issued a statement: “Police were called to reports of concern over a person’s safety at an address in Woolwich, south-east London, at around 12:03hrs on Tuesday, 19 November. Officers attended the scene at St Domingo House, Leda Road, SE18, where they found the body of a female. A 49-year-old man has been arrested as part of the investigation and released on bail. Enquiries are ongoing.”
