In the early hours of Sunday 19 May 2024, a burglar targeted a home on Potyns Walk in Maidstone, stealing car keys during the break-in. The offender then used the keys to take a silver Volkswagen Transporter that was parked outside the property.
The stolen vehicle was later seen travelling down Cemetery Road towards Constitution Hill, prompting a rapid response from local police officers on patrol nearby.
Kent Police are now appealing for witnesses who were in the Potyns Walk or Holborough Road areas around 3.40am on that day. They are particularly interested in dashcam or doorbell camera footage that may assist in identifying the suspect or tracking the stolen van.
