A man was caught after stealing cash and a credit card from St Peter’s Church on Market Street at around 1.45pm on Tuesday 17 January 2023.
Police arrested a 41-year-old man from Thanet on Friday 20 January in connection with the theft. He has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
Officers have released a CCTV image of a man who may assist with their investigation. Authorities are urging anyone with information who has not yet come forward to get in touch.
