Teen Horror: 13-Year-Old Girl Slashed 10 Times with Sword on Camping Trip

A 14-year-old boy brutally attacked a 13-year-old girl with a sword after a falling out during a friends’ camping trip near Hull. The victim was stabbed 10 times and left fighting for her life, a jury at Hull Crown Court heard.

Attack Details: From Friendly Walk to Nightmare

The gang of seven had pitched up near the Humber View Hotel in Hessle, armed with a kortada sword — a weapon similar to a Samurai sword. After an argument with another girl, the victim wanted to leave. The boy offered to walk her home through nearby woods.

Prosecutor David Lamb KC revealed a chilling moment when the boy pretended to stop and urinate before pulling the sword from his waistband. “I’m sorry, I have to do this,” he reportedly said before pushing her to the ground and stabbing her repeatedly.

The victim suffered deep cuts, a collapsed lung, and a damaged liver. She only survived by kicking the attacker away and staggering to the A63 near the Humber Bridge, desperately trying to flag down passing motorists.

Gory Evidence Shocks Court

  • Dashcam footage showed the bloodied girl frantically waving at traffic on the A63.
  • Police bodycam captured the boy’s arrest after he was pulled from a tent.
  • The sword was recovered from the defendant’s tent.
  • Forensics confirmed both the weapon and the boy’s jacket had the girl’s blood.

Mr Lamb said: “The attack was sustained, determined, constant, and carried out with a weapon used with obvious intent to kill.”

Boy Confesses but Denies Attempted Murder

The defendant initially denied any involvement but later admitted responsibility, claiming someone in the group paid him £20 to attack the girl following their argument.

He has pleaded guilty to wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article but denies attempted murder. The trial is expected to last four days and is ongoing.
