Son, 18, Pleads Guilty to Murdering Mum Found Near Prestatyn Nature Reserve

Tristan Thomas Roberts stunned Prestatyn when he admitted killing his mother, Angela Jane Shellis, 45. Her body was discovered on 24 October last year, hidden in thick undergrowth beside a footpath near Morfa Nature Reserve.

A passerby stumbled on the grim scene, triggering a rapid police hunt. Roberts, from Coniston Drive, was swiftly arrested and named the prime suspect in the shocking murder case.

Judge Slams Son in Court, Sentencing Delayed

His Honour Rhys Rowlands made it clear there’s only one possible sentence for murder. But he acknowledged Roberts’ guilty plea will count when deciding his punishment.

Sentencing has now been pushed back to 25 March, as the court prepares to hand down justice in this chilling case.

Tributes Flood In for Beloved Teaching Assistant

Angela Shellis was a devoted teaching assistant at Rhyl High School. Headteacher Philip Collins praised her as “caring and committed.”

“The whole school community is devastated by this tragic loss,” Collins said. “Angela’s kindness and dedication will never be forgotten.”

The community continues to mourn the loss of a truly cherished figure.
