Teen Arrested Over Stab Murder of 21-Year-Old Takayo in Bristol

A 17-year-old boy was arrested in Bristol on Saturday, 22 October, suspected of murdering 21-year-old Takayo. He remains in police custody as investigations continue.

More Arrests Linked to Tragic Ladbroke Grove Stabbing

  • On Wednesday, 19 October, two men aged 23 and 18 were arrested at homes in Bristol on suspicion of murder.
  • A 20-year-old woman was also arrested in Islington for assisting an offender.
  • The 18-year-old man and 20-year-old woman were later bailed pending further inquiries.
  • The 23-year-old man was released under investigation.

Fatal Stabbing Under Westway Flyover

On Monday, 29 August at about 8pm, police were called to a stabbing under the Westway flyover in Ladbroke Grove. Officers gave emergency first aid to Takayo until paramedics arrived. Despite being rushed to a West London hospital, Takayo sadly died.

A post-mortem on 1 September revealed he succumbed to a stab wound to the right groin femoral artery.
