Lyndon Sadler, an 18-year-old from Kettlebrook Road in Tamworth, has been sentenced to seven years in prison at Stafford Crown Court. The case began when police stopped a Citroen C4 on the A4091 in Tamworth shortly after midday on 15 April.

During the stop, officers found Sadler sitting in the passenger seat with snap seal bags, electronic scales, a burner phone, an iPhone, and cannabis labels, all indicating involvement in drug dealing.

The investigation continued with a raid at Sadler’s home on Kettlebrook Road, where police uncovered MDMA tablets and cannabis valued at approximately £3,600. In addition, a collection of dangerous weapons was seized, including machetes, knives, a crossbow, a baseball bat, and a disguised stun gun. Shotgun cartridges were also discovered in the loft space.

Sadler pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply MDMA and cannabis. He was also convicted of possession of an offensive weapon, specifically an electrical incapacitation device.

Detective Inspector Tim Boulton commented, “We’re glad Sadler has been sentenced and these dangerous weapons will now be destroyed. It was good detective work that led to this vehicle stop and a search that resulted in Sadler’s jail time and the destruction of these weapons and drugs.”

Sadler will serve his sentence at a Young Offenders’ Institution (YOI).

Staffordshire Police urge the public to report any suspected drug dealing or criminal activity. Contact Staffordshire Police on 101 or via social media. Anonymous reports can also be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
