Wiltshire Police are currently searching for a woman who was reportedly punched during a public altercation on Oxford Road in Swindon. The incident has prompted a police appeal for the woman to come forward.
The confrontation occurred at around 10am on Thursday, April 3. A man and a woman were involved in an argument inside a grey Toyota Hilux near the Greenbridge roundabout. Witnesses reported that both parties exited the vehicle before the man struck the woman with a punch to the face. Following the assault, the woman fled through a nearby cut-through on Oxford Road.
A 28-year-old local man has since been arrested on suspicion of assault and released on bail while police continue their inquiries. However, officers have not yet identified the woman involved in the incident.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said, “We are keen to speak to the female involved to ensure her safety and to progress our investigation. We also encourage anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have relevant dashcam footage to get in touch.”
