Mubarik Ali, 42, from Baron Street, Stoke-on-Trent, was sentenced to three years in prison at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Friday, May 27. He pleaded guilty to two serious charges: possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of criminal property.
On January 26, 2022, police stopped a Volkswagen Passat on Baron Street as part of a stop and search operation. During the search, officers found two mobile phones, cash, and a stash of Class A drugs.
Less than an hour later, officers conducted a raid at Ali’s home. They discovered a large quantity of cocaine valued between £49,000 and £62,000, along with nearly £20,000 in cash.
Detective Sergeant Marc Proctor from Staffordshire Police commented on the case, saying, “Officers were very happy to find such a large amount of Class A drugs. I’m glad we were able to get these medicines.”
Following his arrest, Mubarik Ali was charged and admitted all offences before his sentencing.
