Simon McGuirk, aka Simon Vella, 51, has been sentenced to three years in prison at Stafford Crown Court after pleading guilty to possessing heroin with intent to supply.

The incident occurred early in the morning on 26 September 2019, when police officers raided McGuirk’s home on Stone Road at 7:40 am.

During the police warrant search, officers found a significant amount of Class A drugs, including crack cocaine and fifteen small packages of heroin. In addition, amphetamines, cannabis plants, resin, mobile phones, cash, and drug paraphernalia were discovered. The total value of the seized drugs was nearly £500.

Sergeant Tom Fotherby of the Stafford Neighbourhood Policing Team stated, “These drugs were for supply and not just personal use. We welcome information about drug dealing in our communities and will continue to bring offenders before the courts.”

Residents who have information about drug dealing in their area are encouraged to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, reach out via social media, or report anonymously through Crimestoppers at 0800 555111.
