Shoplifter Nabbed After Daring Dash from Lee High Road BP

Ryan Kiely, 34, homeless and on the run, was caught red-handed at a BP garage on Lee High Road on February 25. Staff spotted him slipping out with unpaid goods worth £85. But when Kiely made a dash for freedom, police were hot on his heels. After a quick foot chase, officers grabbed him and recovered the stolen food and drink.

Serial Shoplifter Finally Caught—Linked to Multiple Thefts

The arrests uncovered a long rap sheet. Kiely was wanted on recall to prison and was breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO). CCTV and witness reports tied him to two more shoplifting busts at the same BP station. He faced six charges: three for shoplifting and three for flouting his CBO.

Swift Justice: Kiely Sentenced to 16 Weeks Behind Bars

Kiely’s charged were fast-tracked at Bromley Magistrates’ Court. Found guilty the very next day, he was remanded immediately and hit with a 16-week jail term.
