Drug Dealer Busted on Illegal E-Bike in Reading – Jailed for Nearly Two Years!
Jamie Allen Slammed with Jail for Drugs and Dangerous Driving
Jamie Allen, 23, from Hampshire Terrace, Portsmouth, has been locked up for 21 months after a spree of drug and driving crimes in Reading.
At Reading Crown Court on 22 January, Allen was sentenced after admitting a string of offences at Reading Magistrates’ Court in November 2025, including:
- Possession of Class B drugs (cannabis)
- Driving without insurance
- Driving without a valid licence
- Careless driving
- Possession with intent to supply Class A drugs (cocaine)
Caught Red-Handed on Illegal E-Bike with Bags of Cocaine
On the evening of 14 November 2025, neighbourhood officers stopped Allen in Coronation Square, Reading. He was caught riding a Sur’ron electric off-road bike – illegally on the pavement.
Before police could reach him, Allen tried to make a getaway but was swiftly tackled and arrested under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Officers discovered 60 wraps of Class A cocaine, cannabis, and a wad of cash totalling £735.46 on him.
Fines, Points and Penalties Pile Up
Along with his prison term, Allen was hit with a £350 fine, slapped with six penalty points on his licence, and slapped with a fixed penalty notice for his motoring offences.
Reading police praised officers for the swift arrest, removing a dangerous drug dealer from the streets.
