In the early hours of Wednesday, July 24, Margate was shaken by a violent armed robbery. Just after 3:40 AM, three masked men forced their way into a home on St Paul’s Road in Cliftonville. The intruders threatened the occupants, demanded money, and assaulted one resident before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
Kent Police responded quickly, taking the injured man to hospital where he received treatment and was later released. Working in cooperation with South Yorkshire Police, officers arrested two men connected to the robbery. Ahmed Musa, 26, of Britnall Street, Sheffield, and Gadalsed Frahna, 28, of Deer Park View, Sheffield, were both charged with robbery, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear, and possession of an offensive weapon.
Musa and Frahna are scheduled to appear at Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on July 26. Meanwhile, police continue their search for the third suspect involved in the raid. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the investigation.
The armed robbery has caused significant concern among the Margate community. Officials have described the charges against the two men as a major breakthrough in a case that has left local residents worried about their safety.
