Kent Police responded swiftly to reports of a violent assault in Folkestone on Thursday, October 6. At 1.15pm, officers were called to New Street after a man was attacked outside a local address.
Paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service and an air ambulance arrived promptly at the scene. The victim, a man in his 40s, sustained a serious head injury and was airlifted to a hospital in London for urgent medical treatment.
Following the incident, two men from Folkestone were arrested on suspicion of assault. A 41-year-old and an 18-year-old were taken into custody the same day as the attack.
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate is leading the investigation. Police are urging anyone who witnessed the assault or has dashcam footage of the incident on New Street to come forward.
