A man has been charged with the murder of 51-year-old Darren Alderton in St Leonards.

Police discovered Darren Alderton’s body inside a home on Magdalen Road last Thursday, April 8. Following the discovery, officers immediately launched a murder investigation.

On Monday evening, April 12, police arrested 37-year-old Seyed Iman Tabarhosseini, who is unemployed and has no fixed address, in North London. He was charged with murder on Wednesday, April 14, and has been remanded in custody ahead of his court appearance at Brighton Magistrates’ Court.

Detective Chief Inspector Emma Vickers said, “This continues to be a fast-moving investigation and we would like to thank the public for their assistance. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”
