Junior Kettle, 31, of Kingsdown Road, Islington, has been charged with two counts of kidnap and one count of murder in relation to the death of Koray Alpergin.
Kettle appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 7 November, and was remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on Friday, 6 January 2023.
Earlier, three other men were charged with murder and kidnap. They are Erdogan Ulcay, 55, of Oakeshott Avenue, Camden; Ali Kavak, 25, of De Quincey Road, Tottenham; and a 17-year-old boy. All three are due to attend the Old Bailey on 6 January 2023.
A fourth man, aged 55, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, has been bailed until mid-November pending further inquiries.
The body of 43-year-old Koray Alpergin was found near Oakwood Hill Industrial Estate in Loughton at around 11:55 am on Saturday, 15 October by Essex Police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Metropolitan Police took over the investigation after officers were searching for Mr Alpergin and a 33-year-old woman, who was later found safe and unharmed.
Authorities were alerted at 1:51 pm on Friday, 14 October, when the pair were reported missing from Ebony Crescent, Enfield. They had last been seen the previous night and were known to each other.
Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command continue to support the victim’s family as the case unfolds.
