Kent Police have charged a man in connection with a brutal fatal stabbing in Tunbridge Wells. Officers were called to a Sherwood Road address at 10.42am on Tuesday 17 July 2018.

Emergency responders from South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where they found 43-year-old Gordon Farnes with fatal injuries. Despite efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Shortly after the incident, 28-year-old Gordon Locke, who has no fixed address, was arrested. The investigation was taken over by the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised murder charges against Locke, who remains in police custody.

Locke is scheduled to appear via virtual link at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday 18 July 2018.
