Man Arrested Over 1994 Murder of Teen Lindsay Rimer
Detectives have swooped on a man allegedly linked to the murder of 13-year-old Lindsay Rimer in Hebden Bridge nearly 30 years ago.
Suspect Nabbed in Prison
This morning, West Yorkshire Police’s Homicide and Major Enquiry Team arrested the suspect at a UK prison, where he is serving time for unrelated crimes. He is currently being questioned and is expected to be bailed back to jail while enquiries continue.
Police Hunt Witnesses in Hebden Bridge and Halifax
Officers are appealing to anyone with information from the Hebden Bridge and wider Halifax areas to come forward and assist the investigation.
“We remain very firmly committed to doing everything we can to get justice for Lindsay, and to give her family the answers they still so desperately need after all these years,” said Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle. “The arrest we have made today comes as a result of our continued focus on progressing the investigation. “We do not anticipate any immediate developments at this stage but urge anyone with information to come forward.”
