Chaos erupted outside a Maidstone nightclub early on Sunday, 28 September 2025, when a violent brawl broke out on Gabriel’s Hill. Police were called at 1:05am after a man, who had been refused entry to the club, allegedly attacked staff members.
Four others from his group quickly joined the altercation, escalating the situation into a chaotic scene. Windows were smashed and objects were thrown, causing serious damage to the area.
Three men were arrested at the scene on charges of assault and criminal damage. Two additional suspects were arrested later, one on 29 September 2025 and the other on 2 January 2026.
By 26 March 2026, all five men faced a total of 31 charges including violent disorder, assault causing actual bodily harm, and criminal damage.
The alleged instigators are named as follows:
- Ethan Beaney, 20, of Camp Way, Maidstone – six offences.
- Joshua Fennessey, 21, of Selwyin Place, Orpington – seven charges, including possession of a Class B drug.
- Arthur Hicks, 19, of Mangravet Avenue, Maidstone – seven offences.
- Dre Mitchell, 20, of Oaktree Avenue, Maidstone – five offences.
- Jamie Walker, 21, of Clare Place, Maidstone – six charges, also including possession of a Class B drug.
All five men have been released on bail and are scheduled to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 28 May 2026.
