Police Stop Snags Cocaine in Macclesfield
Jake Gittins, 33, from Roe Street, Macclesfield, has been locked up for 30 months after cops caught him red-handed with cocaine. Officers stopped his white Audi A1 on Sandwich Drive on 8 May 2024 following a tip-off.
A search revealed snap bags of cocaine stashed in his coat pocket and a large wodge of cash.
Damning Messages Expose Drug Supply Network
Police didn’t stop at the drugs. A dive into Gittins’ mobile phone uncovered text messages linking him to the supply of Class A drugs (cocaine) and Class B drugs (cannabis) right across town.
Gittins pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and conspiracy to supply both cocaine and cannabis during his hearing at Chester Crown Court on 3 February.
Police Crackdown Deals Blow to Macclesfield Drug Trade
“Illegal drugs wreck communities,” said Sergeant Helen Percival. “Taking dealers like Gittins off our streets is no-brainer. The messages on his phone laid bare his local dealing, so his guilty plea was inevitable.”
