Deadly attack in Ilford
Tragedy struck early on October 4 when 50-year-old Billy Keegan was fatally stabbed in the corridor of a block of flats on Chapel Road, Ilford. Despite rapid response from police and the London Ambulance Service, Keegan was pronounced dead at 1:30 am. Muhamed Nur Osman, 30, from Dagenham, was arrested and charged with murder and actual bodily harm.
Multiple stabbings across London boroughs
- Wembley: A 24-year-old man was stabbed just before 2 pm on October 4 at Avon Court, Brewery Close. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and police are still hunting the attacker.
- Stoke Newington: In the early hours of October 5, a man in his 40s was stabbed on Stoke Newington High Street. His injuries are not life-threatening, but the culprit remains at large.
- Enfield: A man in his 20s suffered serious but not life-threatening stab wounds at Market Place at 2:10 am on October 5. No arrests yet.
- Bow: On October 7, a bizarre stabbing incident left a man in his 50s and a dog injured on Roman Road. Both men involved were arrested, one also suffered a dog bite.
- Newham: A 50-year-old man fights for life after a double stabbing on Hartington Road on October 5. A 16-year-old boy also injured. A 46-year-old man was arrested and is suspected of attempted murder.
- Sloane Square: A 15-year-old boy was stabbed on the tube station platform at 3:20 pm on October 7. He was rushed to a major trauma centre with non-life-threatening wounds. No arrests.
- Southwark: A 50-year-old woman was stabbed on Walworth Road early October 7. She remains in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police continue their investigation.
