Korben Bell, 21, from Rice Lane, Liverpool, has been sentenced to more than five years in prison at Liverpool Crown Court following a police raid in Walton where heroin, crack cocaine, and a knife were seized.
During the raid, officers discovered heroin, crack cocaine, two mobile phones, and a 6-inch lockable knife. Bell was also found in possession of cash, cannabis bags, and additional drugs hidden in a shoebox in his bedroom.
Alongside his prison sentence, Bell was issued a two-year Serious Violence Reduction Order (SVRO). This civil order allows police to stop and search him in public to check for weapons once he is released.
The arrest took place on June 14 when officers spotted Bell leaving his Rice Lane home. Upon seeing the police, he attempted to flee but dropped a knife on the street. He was arrested the following day and charged with multiple drug offences and possession of an offensive weapon.
Detective Inspector Gary Stratton praised the officers involved, stating, “Our officers bravely stopped Bell, who was storing dangerous drugs and carrying a knife that could have seriously harmed people. Bell’s jail term sends a clear message: dealing drugs and carrying knives won’t be tolerated. We urge anyone with info to get in touch so we can keep criminals off our streets.”
