Young Predator Jailed for Sex Crimes Against Teen Girls
George Blackmore, 23, from Littlehampton, has been locked up for three and a half years after a Hove Crown Court trial revealed his disturbing offences against two teenage girls.
Sex Crimes Uncovered
Blackmore got sexual with a 15-year-old when he was just 19. At the same time, he bombarded a 16-year-old with explicit messages, photos, and videos. The 16-year-old’s bravery in coming forward in 2022 sparked the investigation that led police to find indecent images on Blackmore’s devices.
Guilty Verdict and Stiff Sentence
In July 2025, Blackmore was convicted of two counts of sexual activity with a child but was cleared of rape and other charges. On 22 September, he was sentenced to prison and slapped with a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order. This order will severely restrict his online and offline activity to shield vulnerable youngsters.
Police Praise Victims’ Courage
“This was a difficult case, but thanks to the courage of the victims we secured a conviction,” said Detective Constable Owen Watkins, who led the investigation. “While in prison, Blackmore poses no risk to the wider public. We will continue to monitor his behaviour after release.”
Sussex Police urge anyone concerned about child sexual abuse in West Sussex to report it via their website, call 101, or dial 999 in an emergency.
