In the early hours of 12 February, a brutal assault took place in Victoria Square, Worksop, leaving a man seriously injured. At around 3.30am, the victim was viciously attacked, suffering severe and lasting damage to his eyes.
A passer-by quickly intervened and rushed the injured man to hospital. Medical staff treated him promptly, but the injuries sustained have left the victim facing a difficult recovery.
Police are actively investigating the incident and are focusing their efforts on locating 43-year-old Craig Rose, who is wanted in connection with the assault. Authorities have warned the public not to approach Rose, as he is also wanted for failing to appear in court over a separate offence.
Detective Inspector Luke Todd of Nottinghamshire Police said, “Officers have been working around the clock to investigate this extremely serious assault which has left the victim with potentially life-altering injuries. I urge anyone who sees Craig Rose to call police immediately. We want to track him down quickly and need public help. Please do not approach him. Dial 999 if you spot him.”
