A man was arrested for flashing near the Gravesend Civic Centre on Friday afternoon, causing shock in the local community.

The incident took place on Windmill Street between 12:50pm and 1:15pm. A woman walking nearby witnessed the man exposing himself and promptly reported the behaviour to the police.

Kent Police acted swiftly, arresting a 49-year-old local man on suspicion of indecent exposure. He has since been released on conditional bail while detectives continue their investigation.

Authorities believe that several people were in the area at the time and may have important information related to the case. Police are urging anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious to come forward without delay.
