Police were called to Dover Road in Folkestone on Wednesday evening after reports of a violent altercation between two groups. The incident occurred at approximately 8.10pm near the junction with Harbour Way.
Witnesses reported seeing one group arrive in two cars before tensions escalated into a physical confrontation. The South East Coast Ambulance Service and police responded quickly to the scene.
During the brawl, a man suffered a stab wound and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Two additional men also sought hospital care for injuries sustained in the fight.
Following the incident, detectives launched an investigation and arrested five men from Folkestone. Four of those arrested face suspicion of assault. Among them, an 18-year-old man has been additionally charged with cannabis possession, and a 41-year-old man is also being held on suspicion of violent disorder. A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of perverting the course of justice. All five remain in police custody.
Kent Police have urged anyone with personal CCTV or dashcam footage from the area between 8.10pm and 8.15pm on the evening of the incident to come forward to assist with enquiries. Witnesses who saw the event or have relevant footage are asked to contact Kent Police.
