Five men have been locked up after a savage attack rocked a Nuneaton caravan site just after midnight on May 9 last year. The terrifying violence took place at The Griff caravan site, leaving one man stabbed multiple times.

Victim Stabbed Multiple Times During Midnight Raid

In a chilling assault, a mob of men drove to the site and stormed a caravan where a couple were staying. The woman, in her 20s, made a daring escape through a window. But the man was not so lucky—he was chased down and stabbed several times before the gang fled the scene.

Galbraith Family Members Among Those Locked Up

  • James Galbraith, 29
  • Michael Galbraith, 27
  • Thomas Galbraith, 24
  • Anthony Galbraith, 21

All four Galbraith men were arrested and hit with serious charges including attempted murder and making threats to kill. They were kept in custody pending trial.

Senior Galbraith and Accomplice Also Convicted

James Galbraith senior, 49, and Thomas McDonagh, 54, later faced separate charges of conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

After a gruelling seven-week trial at Warwick Crown Court, five men were found guilty. However, James Galbraith, 29, was cleared of attempted murder and threats to kill.

Heavy Sentences Handed Down at Warwick Crown Court

  • Michael Galbraith: 25 years plus 3 years extended licence for attempted murder, 4 years for threats to kill (served concurrently)
  • Thomas Galbraith: 25 years plus 3 years extended licence for attempted murder, 4 years for threats to kill (served concurrently)
  • Anthony Galbraith: 24 years for attempted murder, 3 years 6 months for threats to kill (served concurrently)
  • James Galbraith senior: 3 years 9 months for perverting the course of justice
  • Thomas McDonagh: 3 years 6 months for perverting the course of justice
