Fake Taxi Driver Jailed for 20 Months After Abducting Woman Near Nightclub

A fraudulent taxi driver has been locked up for 20 months after abducting and sexually assaulting a 22-year-old woman near a Stirling nightclub. Mahmoud Kalawizada, 32, from Syria, forced the terrified victim on a twisted trip from Stirling to Clackmannanshire, where he groped her and demanded oral sex.

Unlicensed Driver’s Dark Deed Exposed

Kalawizada, who had no taxi licence, picked up the woman near an official taxi rank in Stirling city centre. Instead of driving her to her requested destination, he made several unnecessary stops before pulling into a loading bay. It was there the shocking assault happened.

“The victim endured a traumatic journey as Kalawizada touched her thigh and demanded a sex act,” the court heard.

Despite his bizarre claim, delivered through an interpreter, that the woman had approached him for a lift after dinner with friends, the jury found him guilty in October at Falkirk Sheriff Court.

Multiple Charges Put Impostor Behind Bars

  • Sexual assault
  • Abduction by offering unlicensed taxi services
  • Stopping at locations not requested by passenger
  • Using a car for hire without insurance

Now living in North London, Kalawizada was swiftly sentenced following the chilling verdict. Police hailed the conviction as justice for the victim and a stark warning to others posing as legitimate taxi drivers.
