An elderly woman in her 80s was seriously injured after being struck by a police escort motorbike yesterday afternoon in Earl’s Court, West London.
Eyewitnesses reported that the woman stepped onto the road to look around a busy junction before the impact threw her across the pavement.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance responded swiftly to the scene. The woman was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition. No other injuries have been reported.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) has launched a formal inquiry into the crash. Authorities have promised to keep the public updated as the investigation progresses.
