Crack Cocaine ‘Boss’ Snared in Tilery Sting

Daniel Madden, 29, from Newton Walk, is now behind bars after running a ruthless crack cocaine racket in Tilery. Posing as the top dog, Madden ran his drug empire via a dedicated phone line, sending mass ‘happy hour’ texts to boost sales during quiet times.

Mass Text Blasts Expose Criminal Kingpin

The court heard Madden sent bulk texts to up to 400 customers between October 2023 and April 2024. Police seized his phone and uncovered messages where Madden bragged about paying his crew and calling himself the network’s head honcho.

Nine Years Locked Up for Class A Drug Conspiracy

On 12 March, Madden pleaded guilty at Teesside Crown Court and was slammed with a tough nine-year jail sentence for conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
