A reckless driver who could have caused serious harm was finally brought to justice after refusing to stop for Kent Police in Wateringbury.
Officers from Kent Police’s Roads Policing Unit attempted a routine stop earlier this week, but the driver ignored commands and sped off, sparking a police pursuit.
The chase ended when officers managed to stop the vehicle and detain the suspect.
The unnamed driver now faces serious charges including failing to stop for police, driving while disqualified, and driving without insurance.
Additionally, police revealed the suspect was wanted on a warrant for failing to appear in court. The individual has been remanded in custody.
A Kent Roads Policing Unit spokesperson said: “This arrest shows the dangers of driving unlicensed and uninsured. We are committed to keeping our roads safe and will take firm action against lawbreakers.”
