A 33-year-old man from the Boston area, Jake Hardstaff, has been charged with 30 sexual offences spanning a period of 16 years. The allegations date from June 2008 to June 2024.
Hardstaff, who currently has no fixed address, faces serious charges including three counts of inciting a girl under 13 to engage in sexual activity, six counts of raping a girl under 13, and five counts of assault by penetration of a girl under 13.
Additional charges include seven counts of raping a woman aged 16 or over, seven counts of sexual assault on a female, one count of causing a female aged 13 or over to engage in non-penetrative sexual activity, and one count of controlling and coercive behaviour in an intimate relationship.
Hardstaff is scheduled to appear at Lincoln Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 16 May 2025. A police spokesperson confirmed that multiple victims have come forward over the years, which led to a complex and detailed investigation.
Due to the seriousness of the allegations, the case is expected to be transferred to the Crown Court for trial.
