Ashford police have made a major breakthrough in the fight against drug dealing with a significant cannabis bust. On Saturday, 16 November 2024, Kent Police conducted a targeted operation in the Stanhope area, resulting in the seizure of a large quantity of cannabis, cash, and mobile phones linked to illegal activities.
Officers on patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle believed to be connected to drug dealing. Following the vehicle to a nearby residence, they arrested three men aged between 24 and 34 as they left the property.
The police seized a substantial amount of cannabis, which is thought to have been intended for distribution. Alongside the drugs, stacks of cash suspected to be proceeds from drug sales and mobile phones associated with the illegal trade were also confiscated. The vehicle involved had been linked to previous criminal activity.
The three men were arrested on suspicion of drug offences but have since been released on bail while investigations into the seized items continue.
