Tragic Death of Baby After BMW Hits Pram in Brownhills

James Paul Davis, 34, from Walsall, faces multiple charges after a devastating crash on Easter Sunday. The two-week-old baby, Ciaran Leigh Morris, died shortly after a BMW struck his pram on Brownhills High Street.

Charges Laid Following Fatal Collision

Davis has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing death while uninsured, failing to stop at the scene, and failing to report the collision. The BMW was abandoned at the scene, but the suspect later called police and was arrested.

“We are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the tragic death of Ciaran,” said Sergeant Mark Crozier from the serious collision unit. “Our officers remain in contact with the baby’s parents, who we ask to be given privacy during this incredibly sad time.
