Police in Maidstone have arrested a man following the discovery of drugs valued at approximately £220,000. Officers uncovered a significant quantity of amphetamine and cocaine concealed in a vehicle near the junction of the M20 and A229.

The vehicle was stopped by Kent Police at 12:30am on Wednesday, 18 December 2019. Upon searching the boot, officers found around 22 kilos of amphetamine, 41 wraps of cocaine, and about £1,000 in cash.

Sean Musgrove, aged 30, from Rolvenden Road, Tenterden, was arrested at the scene. He has been charged with possession of class A and B drugs, as well as possession of criminal property.

Musgrove was scheduled to appear before Medway Magistrates Court on Thursday, 19 December 2019. Police are continuing their efforts to combat drug trafficking across the region.
