Durham Police Appeal for Information Following Farm Equipment Theft in Brancepeth

Durham Police are appealing for information after the theft of valuable farm machinery in the early hours of September 7. A John Deere 5820 tractor, with registration number NX05BHE, was stolen from a property along with an attached blue Bunning muck spreader.

The tractor is particularly notable due to its turf tyres, which may help make it more identifiable.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen the stolen tractor or who has information regarding its whereabouts to come forward. They are particularly interested in reports of any suspicious activity in the Brancepeth area during the early morning hours on the day of the theft.

Members of the public with information are encouraged to contact Durham Constabulary on their non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 092023-007. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be submitted through Crimestoppers.

Durham Police are urging residents to remain vigilant, especially those in rural areas, and to take precautions to secure their farming equipment.
