Woman Dies in Tragic Chelsham Crash
A woman has died following a serious car crash in the Surrey village of Chelsham on Wednesday morning, April 23.
Emergency services rushed to Limpsfield Road at about 11:30am after reports of a single-vehicle collision between Ledgers Road and Beech Farm Road. Despite paramedics’ best efforts, the female driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
Surrey Police Launch Investigation
Surrey Police confirmed the fatality and offered condolences to the woman’s family. A spokesperson said, “Our thoughts are with the victim’s loved ones at this incredibly difficult time.”
The road remains closed in both directions as collision investigators comb the scene for answers.
Drivers are urged to avoid the area while traffic is redirected via surrounding routes.
The police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward. They stated, “We are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this tragic incident and would ask anyone who may have seen what happened or has dashcam footage from the area at the time to get in touch.”
