A teenage girl was rushed to hospital after being hit by a car near North Kent College in Dartford this morning, September 13. The collision occurred just before 8:10 AM on Oakfield Lane, prompting an immediate emergency response.
Kent Police and South East Coast Ambulance Service (SECAmb) teams arrived quickly at the scene. They found the girl, believed to be a Year 12 student at Wilmington Grammar School for Girls, injured at the roadside. Medics treated her on site before transporting her to Medway Maritime Hospital for urgent care. Her current condition has not been disclosed.
A SECAmb spokesperson said: “We were called shortly after 8am to a report of a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle. Our crews treated one patient on site before transporting them for further medical treatment.”
Wilmington Grammar School for Girls sent a letter home to parents and guardians, thanking those who stopped to help and offering support to anyone affected by the incident. The accident has caused concern within the local community, with many sending their best wishes for the girl’s recovery.
