Police carried out raids on two properties in St Leonards, uncovering a cache of weapons, including what appears to be a blank firing pistol and blank rounds, along with drugs and mobile phones.

Officers served warrants at separate addresses, recovering several weapons and suspicious items as part of the ongoing investigation into an armed incident.

Chief Inspector Jay Mendis-Gunasekera commented on the operation, saying: “We’d like to thank the public for their patience and understanding as we work through this fast-paced investigation.”
